Hello November! The leaves are changing here in Northern California and the cool fall air has officially made it’s debut. We went to grab dinner last week and I was quite pleased that I finally needed a sweater and that I didn’t have to take it off because it was too warm. For this month’s places and spaces that inspire post, I put together a collection of spaces that emit a sense of warmth and comfort since the holiday season is officially underway. I also think they’d work really well together and tell a story of a home perfect for the holidays. Let’s take a look!
After years of gray being in the spotlight for design, brown is officially making a comeback. This space in April Tomlin’s Naturally Southern project uses the color beautifully, and creates a rich, inviting room where I can easily picture people gathering and spending time together. Those dark brown sofas look especially comfy! Check out the rest of the project here!
This space is a bit of a contrast to the previous one. Where the other space is beautifully drenched in shades of brown, this space uses it more as an accent to create an earthy, natural feel. Featuring the new collection from Amber Lewis x Four Hands, this space is very light and bright, but feels grounded with the amount of texture and just overall beautiful design that is common with anything Amber Lewis.
I love a good kitchen, and this one from JDP Interiors is beautiful. It’s simple and understated; elegant without being over the top. It would be an awesome place to cook Thanksgiving dinner or bake Christmas cookies with the family. Check out more projects from JDP Interiors here!
This shower stopped me in my tracks on Instagram the other day. It’s beautiful. From the green tile, to the finishes, and the vanity, I would be absolutely sold on this design if I was renovating a bathroom any time soon. Cameron Getter Design knocked it out of the park. Check out more of their work here!
Jenna Sue Design has some great projects (her blog is a gold mine of inspiration), and this bedroom does not disappoint. It’s cozy and inviting, but still elevated. It has the comfort of traditional design with some transitional elements, and is a really beautiful space. It looks like the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day.
And last but not least, this stunning home from Moment Design, Matthies Builders, and Amy Storm & Co. I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend the holidays in a house like this? It’s beautiful. From the mixture of materials to the surrounding greenery, it creates a wonderfully inviting feel that welcomes you in from the moment you see it. Perfect for holidays with the family!
And that wraps up this month’s places and spaces that inspire post! I hope this brought you some design inspiration and that you’re preparing for another wonderful holiday season. I’ll see you back here next month for some more places and spaces that inspire!
