How is it August already? I think I say that at the start of every month, but this time I really mean it.
As we ease into the end of summer, and the weather starts to cool (wishful thinking for those of us in LA), it’s seems like the right time to transition into some softer, more muted tones with occasional pops of color. I came across a couple design picks that match that August, tail end of summer vibe and put them below. Hope you enjoy and happy August!
Renouveau Hom designed this simple yet colorful space here in Los Angeles, and I love the incorporation of soft pops of color with the white walls and natural wood tones. Head over to Renouveau Hom’s Instagram if you want to see the rest of the project and the pops of color they incorporated throughout the house!
I don’t think I’ve ever considered a yellow backsplash for a kitchen, but Landed Interiors executed the idea so perfectly. It adds such a beautiful pop of color and plays off the island and gold hardware so well. I would gladly cook in this kitchen and that pop of yellow would be a great pick me up on cloudy days.
Both of these images are from the same house. Can you imagine? A dreamy backyard and a perfectly designed interior? Laney LA knocked it out of the park with this project. And the subtle touch of detail behind the bar adds the perfect amount of playfulness and fun to this beautiful space.
Alright, that’s it for this month! Hope these projects can help spark a little bit of inspiration for the month of August. See you again in a couple weeks! And be ready for all things Fall 🙂
