My love for dark green velvet knows no bounds. Just like my love for a white, ribbed sweater. If I see it, I want it.
So, when I saw this beautiful moss green accent chair at Pottery Barn, I had to create something around it. To me, it leans transitional, which is a style I usually gravitate towards. I really like the structured lines that help to give it some presence and weight. While the slightly oversized feel helps to add comfort and the perfect amount of softness. If I was currently looking for an accent chair (and had an extra $1,000 laying around), this would definitely be it.
Here are two mood boards I created based on this beautiful chair. Enjoy!

The Casual Reading Nook
Graceful Hands Wall Art | Cotton Velvet Curtains | Table Lamp | Remmy Swivel Chair in Dark Moss | Side Table | Rug | Ottoman | Monstera Plant
Just imagine yourself curled up with a good book (or a couple Substack posts), a fresh cup of coffee or tea, the rain slowly tapping on the window behind you. All while sitting in this chair, that perfectly wraps around you, keeping you cozy and warm. That sounds pretty close to perfection to me.
The Living Room Version

After making the reading nook, I decided to take it a step further and make it a living room. All I really did was add a sofa and rearrange things, but it looked good, so here we are.
As a note, I worried that the sofa was a little too white for the space, but I struggled to find the perfect fit and just stuck with this one.
That wraps up this post! Are there any fabrics or colors that are a must for you when decorating? If so, I’d love to hear about it. Happy decorating!
