How is it July already?! June was actually a pretty long month over here, but I’m always still surprised when a new month starts. In honor of summer and the start of July, let’s look at some more places and spaces that inspire!
Spanish Colonial design always strikes a chord in my heart. It’s elegant and charming, inviting and cozy, and always makes me think of summer and backyard get-togethers. This house was recently listed for sale and has already sold (of course), and is a beautiful piece of architecture and design.
Kitchen’s are truly the heart of a home, and I love the warm, earthy tones in this space. It’s simple but elevated and just a little bit moody. Plus, this house is in the Pacific Northwest so it’s a perfect fit for that PNW vibe. To see the rest of the project and the amazing work by Lisa Staton Design, click here!
Whenever I think of the Hamptons, I think of summer. It’s on my long list of places I’d like to visit, and whenever I see homes like this it makes me want to lay out by the pool all day and read a good book. This house was designed by Merrell Soule Architects, and embodies that idyllic Hamptons summer style. Click here to see more of the project!
I love white kitchens, but adding some extra detail and color can take them to the next level. I love the black and wood details in this space designed by Thomas Interiors, and the wall of windows brings in such beautiful light. It also looks like there’s a lot of storage, which is a must for me when it comes to kitchen design.
Mid-century modern is one of those styles that always appeals to me. It’s not always the first style I turn to when it comes to design, but when it’s done well, I quickly remember how much I like it. This living space is the epitome of cool, dark, and moody, and I would gladly cuddle up by the fireplace or just lounge around and do some writing (or blogging 😉).
I’ve seen this house on Instagram a few times now, and I bookmark it for inspiration every time I see it. Modern Nest knocked it out of the park with this spec home, and every inch of this project is so well done. Click here to see the rest of the home!
And that wraps up this month’s places and spaces that inspire post! I hope this brought you some design inspiration and that your summer is off to a great start. I’ll see you back here next month for some more places and spaces that inspire!
