It’s August and I can’t believe it. But I do have a serious love of fall and the transition from summer to fall, so I’m a little excited at the same time. To channel this excitement, I put together some summery yet transitioning into fall vibes for this month’s places and spaces that inspire post. Hopefully they get you excited for August, back-to-school, and all the fun things to come this month!
This backyard would be the perfect place to spend those final summer evenings before going back to school and the hustle and bustle of a normal schedule. It’s simple and refined but so inviting!
This breakfast nook is one of my favorites. I am a sucker for a good breakfast nook but I also love the mixture of cognac-colored leather with dark wood, black, and white. That color and material combination gets me every time. The rest of this project from Mimi & Hill is just as incredible, check it out here!
To continue with stunning spaces, this living room designed by LeClair Decor is a must-see. There’s really nothing I can think of to say other than “amazing”. The accent on the ceiling is also a really interesting feature and ties into the legs of the arm chairs perfectly. So well done!
I love the mixing of colors and textures in this space. From stone floors to marble countertops and a mix of wood and teal cabinets, there’s so much good stuff going on, and it works together really well.
I wouldn’t usually consider pink as a great kitchen cabinet color, but I actually really like it in this space. House Nine Design Studio did a great job of creating a clean-looking kitchen that still has warmth and charm while also being functional.
I had to feature two photos of this kitchen because it is so pretty! And believe it or not, the rest of this project from Mindy Gayer Design Co. is just as beautiful. Check it out here! I’m also a serious advocate for double-ovens, and it looks like this kitchen has four, so that makes me love this space even more. Thanksgiving would be so much easier!
This space is part of a redesign that turned an old barn into a family home, and they nailed the country cottage feel. Check out the rest of the project here!
This seemed like the perfect photo to finish up our August places and spaces that inspire post! This Sag Harbor home emits just the right amount of summer getaway vibes and as the sun sets and the seasons start to blend and transition it would be the perfect fall getaway too.
And that wraps up this month’s places and spaces that inspire post! I hope this brought you some inspiration or helped stir up some August vibes. I’ll see you back here next month for some more places and spaces that inspire!
