Summer has been in full effect here in Southern California lately. The heat that we didn’t have in June has definitely made it’s appearance and is here to stay. It’s even been warm in the mornings lately, which is really weird when you walk outside at 7AM and it’s already a warm day. But, that’s summer, and it’s definitely nice to have these warm July days. How’s your month going? What’s the weather like near you?
I put together a couple of my favorite things (that I actually purchased or tried this month) in case you’re looking for something new or something to cook in the coming weeks. Hope you had a great month!
Favorite Purchases
88 Acres Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Granola Bars // I’m always on the hunt for healthier or better-for-you snacks to keep around the house, and these granola bars were a great find. They are Gluten-Free and Nut-Free and made of mostly organic ingredients that you can actually pronounce. I ordered the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Granola Bars, and will probably try some of the other flavors too!
Plant Therapy Organic Raw & Unrefined Shea Butter // I used to love body butters and things like that, but I don’t love the ingredients and artificial fragrances in most of them. I wanted something simple and more moisturizing than a lotion, so I ordered some Shea Butter and it is definitely moisturizing! Now, it doesn’t smell great, so just be prepared. Shea Butter has a unique scent. But, it’s moisturizing, organic, and doesn’t have all the chemicals and fragrances of some other options on the market, so that’s a win for me!
Favorite Recipes
Sally’s Baking Addiction Homemade Pizza Dough for Beginners // For 4th of July this year, we decided to make homemade pizza instead of BBQing, and this pizza dough is a winner! We actually made it again a week or two after 4th of July because we liked it so much. The dough is easy to throw together and made a really great crust. And, one batch of dough makes two pizzas, so if you have different pizza tastes in your household, you can easily make a pizza that works for each person.
Sally’s Baking Addiction Easy No-Bake Cheesecake Jars // To finish things up on 4th of July, I made these easy No-Bake Cheesecake Jars and they were also a hit. They’re a quick and easy dessert, and if you like cheesecake, it’s probably one of the fastest ways to fill that cheesecake craving without having to make an entire cheesecake.
Alright, that wraps up this month’s post! Hope everyone had a great July and cheers to the month ahead!
